Nets lead assistant Sam Mitchell has a well-deserved reputation for developing young players, a key reason Avery Johnson targeted him. Mitchell, who earned the 2006 Coach of the Year Award with Toronto, believes assisting Avery effectively will ultimately deliver another chance at head coaching.
